This place is a rip off! For a full-hook up, drive-through campsite for $95 per night, there is a higher expectation of maintenance. It did rain right before we arrived. The driveway running through the middle of the campsite had 3-inches of mud - not nearly enough gravel was placed in the driveway to help with the drainage. Also, the fire pit had over an inch of standing water - not good drainage either. Needless to say, could not have a fire that night! We did ask to be moved to any other site so we wouldn’t have to set up in the mud, but were not accommodated. Could see grass growing through the cracks of one of my neighbor’s decks and another neighbor’s deck actually had broken wooden planks - very dangerous! Also, they insist on campers using their wood at $8 a bundle. We had a bundle of wood from a local gas station on the fire pit edge and we left for the day. When we returned, it was gone and our neighbor told us that they saw them take it and that they took their wood that they had brought. In my 30 years of camping at many different places both state parks and private, this has NEVER happened!!! Too many better places around to camp and at a more reasonable price! I will NOT be returning!
Stayed here for opening renaissance Festival
This year. My group and I had a total of three sites. I had the cabin with a full bed and two sets of bunks, another was a campsite/tent site and the last was another cabin but with two sets of bunks. The place was great. The people were great and when we arrived we went to the pool and the management gave us 15 more minutes that was nice.
The only complaints is that the site for booking needs some TLC more pictures of the cabins and layout. I would have been happy to book a cabin that had the bathroom in them if I would have known that was an option. The store could use more options (maybe food stuff like bacon hotdogs camping food) the gas station down the street has the stuff but it would have been nice but not a downfall.
We definitely plan on staying here again. Just the site needs work everyone was very friendly and the site needs more pictures of the cabin with a layout map.
Not impressed. Trying to back up in spot and went sideways sliding in the mud. I am pretty sure this is our fire pit completely submerged in water. Good luck trying to have a fire. The pamphlet they gave me said to download campers app to see what is available in store and the campground isn't even on the app. The sound of 75 is really lovely to listen to. The cheapest spot they had at $325 for 6 nights. A bit pretentious on their part. Not worth the money. Extremely underwhelmed and won't be coming back.
READ THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Bad quality, overpriced, and terrible service is what this place is all about.
Let's talk about their booking process to start. If you're camping, you'll pay about $55/night with taxes - for a patch of dirt. This is also the first campgrounds I've ever seen that then tries to charge you $30 to 'guarantee' your spot - that's right, even though you pick the site you want to camp in based on availability, it'll cost you another $30 to lock in the spot, otherwise they can just move you whenever they want. So now you're up to $85/night just to make sure you're not camping right next to the bathrooms.
Have a question about the campgrounds, or want to contact them for any reason? It'll take you days to contact them via phone, as it took me 4 days of calling to finally get through. Folks are rude and unhelpful - they just defer you to an email box that is clearly managed by some 3rd party company designed to reject every possible request or question you have.
Rest of our party ended up staying and had issues with dirty bathrooms, loud freeway noise, and just generally run down conditions. We'll avoid these guys in the future - plenty of other options nearby.
This company is a textbook example of how not to run a company.
DO NOT BOOK DELUXE CABINS HERE. We recently stayed for a Halloween weekend in two out of three of their “deluxe” cabins. For one weekend with two cabins the price was just over $900. The cabins were in total disrepair. The water pressure was almost non-existent in one and the other the shower ran cold after about 1 minute. The mattress covers were stained, holes in the floor boards, chipped paint on cupboards, no working cable and the deck to our cabin was separating from the cabin. The fix to not break your ankle was a pool noodle. I attempted to address our concerns with staff during our stay which I was told they do not offer adjustments or refunds and I was provided with an email address. It has been almost 4 weeks of emails with no resolution outside of offering 20% off my next stay. No thanks, we absolutely will never stay here again.
