When you need to get away from it all, there’s no place quite like Wolverine Campground. Nestled on the north shore of the Holloway Reservoir, Wolverine offers the serenity, natural splendor and family-friendly fun you’d expect to travel hundreds of miles to find. Whether you’d rather rough it or bring along a few modern conveniences, you’ll find great camping just the way you like it. Getting away doesn’t have to mean going far away, not when mid-Michigan’s best camping is just around the corner at your Genesee County Parks.

this is NOT a hotel it is a county run campground. sight size is okay. Clientele is a bit questionable. There are not many amenities. This location is best suited for people with boats to enjoy the lake. Beach access is before the campground entrance and a bit of a walk for campers to readily enjoy, but it is possible it you want to hike too or drive over.
We visited recently for a weekend camping trip. Some sites are nice but the majority of the campsites are right on top of each other. So it feels more like a crowded park then a camp ground. There is a beach, playground, and the park does do weekend activities. But the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. I observed the staff changing trash bags near the bathrooms but that appeared to be the extent of it. They obviously get cleaned some time but a little more upkeep would be nice. We enjoyed a lot of the grounds but just too clustered together. Lakeside sites are nice but require a 3 night stay. You can take your boat there so that is a plus.
Campground was decent enough. Right next to the beach and a nice playground. My main complaint is purely preference based, I prefer lots of trees and shade, this is much more like camping in a field with minimal to no trees depending on your lot. Price was good and the little shop worh snacks and firewood was decently priced. You are very close to your neighbors tho and depending on what you're looking for that could be a positive or a negative. Park doesn't allow alcohol and didn't have any rowdiness or noise at night that I experienced. Not all camp sites have water so be prepared to walk a bit to get water.
we had a decent time overall, might try once more next summer. I wish there was more to do there & that there weren't so many insane rules. you always feel like you're being watched.
our site was nice, full of shade and lots of trees, right by the bathrooms - which they do clean regularly.
Good size campground with vaulted and full service bathrooms. Volleyball, corn hole, tether ball, playground, beach, plenty for the kids to do but the vaulted toilets were not kept up with chemicals. The rooms were clean but the smell seems to linger on your clothes for a while. Not typical for vaulted toilet area.
