Our family always enjoys our time camping at Thousand Trails Texoma. It's a great place to bring the kids because there is controlled access to the park with Park Rangers on duty or on call 24 hours. There is usually activities for the kids during the summer, pools, putt-putt, lake access, fishing docks, concerts on some weekends, food trucks on location sometimes with other eating places close by like Pelicans Landing, Family Center for birthday parties etc, plenty of choices for camping sites either in areas with lots of trees or in the wide open with both pull through or back in options, updated electric services and also recently no charges for 50A over 30A. We ride our bicycles around the park and out the back gates to the controlled access to US Army Corp of Engineers land, which is also where the private lake access is for boat dock and fishing piers. The park is usually very peaceful at night and just far enough from major highways that you don't hear traffic running all night long. There are cabins and lodges available for rent also that are well kept. The cabins are a little dated but provide everything you would need to enjoy your stay nestled back into a wooded area. They have A/C also which is nice for those hot summer night. Golf carts are allowed in the park, both gas and electric, but no side by sides, go carts, dirt bikes, or other OHV's. The speed limit in the park is 5MPH. There is a Dollar General nearby, and then a little further away, there are grocery stores, restaurants, and even a casino on the other side of the lake in Oklahoma. There is plenty to do if you are on a long stay or just passing through. The staff are usually pretty friendly also. Ice cream, snacks, drinks, and bagged ice are available at the front office. There is a lot of new development happening in the park and remodeling happening so it will only get better.

Guest to out with our new teardrop camper. Great location with lots of trees on the area where we camped. Lots of things to do, swimming pool, put put, swings, and more. Saw lots of families enjoying the place. Will return someday.

Love this campground. It's quiet, lots of shade and roomy lots. It's very close to Lake Texoma and the campground has a beach area although I would argue that. It's a very small sandy area on the bank. It's a little far from any stores or places to eat but you're camping so bring your own delicious food.
