From jct I-20 (exit 449) & Hwy 157: Go 1/2 mi N on Hwy 157, then 1/4 mi W on Arbrook.
My husband and I were there visiting friends who had recently moved there. The people appeared friendly, all the trees made it feel more home. However, the lots were small, and you could constantly hear highway traffic. Overall it was a nice place, I just do not like highway noise.
Very clean and well shaded RV PARK for full time and part timers! Showers, pool, dog park, weight room. Your own fire pit and picnic table for each spot as well. My sister is staying here and I'll join her eventually!
We like the location surroundings. Advice if you are a feast for mosquitoes is to apply your DEET spray to all exposed skin before you get out of your vehicle because after two nights here and using 40% Woods spray, I have *TWENTY SIX* bites. It’s nature, and it is camping, but we do this every weekend around Texas and this was the worst number. Just so itchy lol.
The one thing that let this place down for us is the Wi-Fi. It’s awful. I see a review from 4 months ago and the response did say they would pass on the feedback to management but based on our experience in September I would not expect it to work if you need it. We canceled our plans to visit again for longer in November because of the Wi-Fi issues. The service from the Sun Wi-Fi people is no good either. I spent 2-3 hours of our visit trying to get it to work. It’s not even isolated to the site/pitch we were on. I walked our dogs around the park and it was not working for me. I also tried the $7 per day paid service for faster Wi-Fi and that did not work. They said to me on the phone on Saturday it would be fixed so we tried Saturday night and Sunday morning. Not fixed. They also told us in the office on Saturday that it was being worked on. And the $7? I called them Sunday. Allow 7 or 10 days I think he said for the refund which he had put a “request” in for to billing. Didn’t even sound convinced I would just automatically get it. A chargeback will happen if not, only $7 but that’s not the point!
I will say, lovely staff, clean restrooms/bathrooms. Really pleasant surroundings. The dog play area was *clean* and I appreciate places where dogs are welcome and you don’t walk on poop everywhere.
Checkin was super easy and they were on hand to help if needed on arrival (they said just give us a call). Pull through site very good. It’s the best site we have been on for appearance and surroundings with a lot of longer term RVers staying there.
As the younger tech age RVers grow up, WiFi becomes a necessity so TreeTops it needs properly resolving. I wish we could turn off our phones and not look at the laptop when we are in a really nice location like this, but we can’t do that all day and night most times we are away from home. We have to keep earning the $ to enjoy the time in sites like this!
We have lived in our RV at Treetops for the last 19 months. It is a peaceful place and the grounds are well maintained and beautiful. There are numerous large trees and a pretty bridge that connects the sides of the park. The small public gym and bathrooms are clean and sanitized. The swimming pool and laundry room are well maintained. The staff has been helpful and we’ve enjoyed getting to know them and our RV neighbors. They also have activities such as ice cream days, hot dog cookouts, trick or treating, etc. It’s a family oriented facility and we’ve enjoyed our time here!
This is our second time here, staff is awesome. They are friendly and helpful. The park is clean and kept up well. Even though you are in the city, it does not feel like it. I definitely recommend this location.
