It seems that most of the KOA's have a freeway on one side and railroad tracks on the other. Not Kerrville KOA, they are about 5 miles from the I10 freeway on Goat Creek Rd. Although it is a fairly busy road, it's quiet at night. This is the first KOA we've been to that actually has gas and diesel pumps onsite. The workers here are so friendly and helpful, especially Hellen. I booked a pull-thru site that didn't have a sewer, Hellen took care of us and switched us to a full hookup site. We were originally going to stay two nights but we extended 1 day. We didn't get to explore the area the area because it rained so much but we plan to return here next time we come through.
Really nice folks! Though I didn't stay there, they were kind enough to fill my propane tank ,and on a Sunday at that! If I were traveling I'd highly recommend staying there! Thank You for your kindness!
This is probably the oldest and smallest KOA we've ever stayed in. Our site was muddy because of a new ditch ( for water, sewer, electric?) that was poorly filled or tamped. Yes, they had rain the day before, but a properly tamped fill would not have sunk in so much. Bathrooms are clean but tiny, 2 toilets and 2 showers, but a parked Jeep blocked access to the ramp for those in a wheelchair or walker. Maybe better in summer?
We had a great stay at this very clean and friendly place! The staff is incredibly accommodating and kind. You are just a short drive from great local attractions and the River Trail. It’s absolutely beautiful and every spot in the park is lovely. On our first cross country trip with our 1 year old and she did great!
This campground was above average. The host was very pleasant and helpful and the store had all the essentials. The laundry was large and well maintained and the site was level and quiet. Only item was the bathroom was clean but should consider an upgrade. Good, average place to stay.
