I planned a trip to Roamstead for my family and friends to get together after I got back from a deployment. The goal was to decompress and this place did not disappoint. We had a friends thanksgiving here which was perfect. Some stayed in cabins, some stayed in their RV on site but we were all able to hang out in the lodge and common area which is perfect for the kids. The staff was super helpful and fun to talk to. We also were in a great location near Gatlinburg and hiking. One of our best camping experiences ever.
We booked a cabin last minute and the team was so accommodating! We selected the cabin with loft and LOVED hearing the stream flowing all night right outside our door. It was perfect for a comfortable place to rest on our way through town. The complimentary Hot coffee in the morning was a beautiful touch to get our day started. We traveled with a b toddler and a dog would rate 10/10 for safety and space to ROAM
We had the best Christmas at Roamstead. The campground is well appointed in every way, this owners and staff have paid attention to detail in every way. We loved it and will go back again one day. The stream running through in multiple locations and the sound of the running water soothes the soul.
Roamstead is the place to go. We had some issues initially at check in, but the staff was more than friendly and accommodating and made sure our vacation was amazing. The bathroom and showers are heated and always clean. The creek is so pleasant and something we enjoyed listening to while falling asleep. Our kids explored every nook and cranny around our Yurt. ALL of the sites are roomy and allow you the space to not be on top of the next person. The lodge has coffee and granola in the morning, board games for kids and families. They have a restaurant and bar. A beautiful 30 minute drive from Gatlinburg, it really isn't something you can beat. We come to TN every 6 months of so and we will definitely be staying here again!!!
Spent two nights in the Hemlock cabin this weekend and had a great time! The cabin is spacious and has everything you need from showering to cooking. There’s a hiking trail basically outside the back door, and I wish the weather had been better for us to take advantage of it. We ordered pizza one night (very good!) and ordered drinks from the bar. Can’t wait to go back in warmer weather and use the other amenities.
