If you are looking for a getaway close to all the amazing attractions our area has to offer, then look no further. Gateway to the Smokies RV Park& Campground is your ideal vacation destination mixing incredible open-air scenery and warm, southern hospitality. We offer many amenities close to the parkway, while still maintaining the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains. Gateway to the Smokies is minutes away from adventures in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and surrounding areas. If a day trip is on your agenda, we are a short distance from Sevierville, Knoxville, Nashville and North Carolina.
Gateway to the Smokies RV Park and Campground opened for business in 2019, and although we are new, rest assured our family has been in the hospitality/campground industry for over 30 years. We are a veteran and family owned/operated campground boasting 70 RV sites plus more on the way! If you like the outdoor life, but prefer the comfort of modern conveniences, we have 9 cabins of different sizes depending on your likes and needs. Whatever accommodation you choose, you can rest assured you will enjoy your stay. Gateway offers the ultimate camping experience with first rate amenities, top rate service all within the beautiful outdoors. We are located less than a mile off the parkway, on the quiet side in the heart of Pigeon Forge. One right hand turn onto the spur takes you into Gatlinburg where fun things await like Anakeesta, Ober Gatlinburg, and Ripleys Aquarium can be found. If you go a little further you can head into The Great Smoky Mountain National Park where adventures like hiking, biking, fishing and touring can be found. Turn left and you are headed toward exciting activities like Dollywood, Splash Country, Titanic Museum, The Island, Comedy Barn, and dinner shows like Dolly Parton's Stampede, Pirates and Hatfield& McCoy's. There are so many theaters, shopping stores, action rides, homemade fudge factories, moonshine distilleries and restaurants to satisfy every taste. We are located on the Pigeon Forge trolley route which allows you to enjoy a ride to one of the many area attractions. Fill up on fun, comfort and great outdoors by staying with us!
Great location, great views, nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend if you want to be near the strip but not in the middle of it. The campground is thoughtful of guests and provides a playground, basketball court, and swimming pool that are all great, as well as a fun gift shop complete with a porch and rocking chairs. Front office gal was so nice. The icing on the cake was the fun bear statues to take a photo with to document the memories made.
Very tight RV sites, not really conducive for sitting outside and relaxing. Quiet hours are not enforced by staff, our first 4 mornings of our 7 day stay were not quiet or relaxing. Management was informed they were receptive of our issues, but situation was not resolved.
Location is perfect for visiting Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
We have stayed twice in the camp cabins when going to dollywood, they and the bathrooms and grounds are always clean and quiet. The campground is in a great location for a great price. The kids loved the playground area, it was big and nice. The camp cabins are small, just two beds, a heat/air unit, a TV, a mini fridge and small microwave, and a small porch with two chairs. It's perfect and cozy when all we need is a place to sleep before and after going to the park. Will definitely stay here again 💗.
The perfect campground! Close to everything, but makes you feel like you are at a hidden place in the woods. I really didn't have high hopes for the place when it was a private campground so close to everything, but half the rate of everyone else. The sites are fantastic. Spacious and easy to get in and out of. The bath houses are super clean and well maintained. The grounds are well kept and the staff is a delight! I will definitely be back!
We stayed from Sunday to Thursday at the end of November 2023. Great location. Many paved sites. Great bathrooms. Clean, and far enough away to be “out in the country” but not far from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. Nice selection of items in the office store. People are super friendly and helpful!
It would be nice to have a dumpster down below, but not a deal breaker. Great playground. They have a pool area, but it was November.
There are cabins available, but we had our camper. The Pigeon Forge trolley does stop nearby! Really enjoyed our stay, we’ll be back!
