Stayed 1 night in July on a road trip. Sites were clean, ample distance between neighbors, easy access to restrooms. Would be great if all sites had water.

When we got to our reserved campsite around 5pm, found out we didn't have to bother checking in with the park office. The space was already marked for us. The park area is huge. I was so happy to see that it was very well maintained. There was a group of adults that were a bit rowdy but shut down around 10 p.m., which was great. We stayed for 2 days and got to relax. Everywhere I looked, there were friendly faces and smiles. I am looking forward to coming back again this summer if I can find the time. I will recommend it to my family and friends for sure.

It's more like a remote RV n Camping spot than to be called a state park. Most of the photos posted here are either false or taken at some private farms/ranches somewhere few miles away from this state park. So do not believe those pics. Its a rough beach like place that seems more scary than soothing to eyes.
