Located on the outskirts of Rockford’s beautiful countryside, Blackhawk Valley is one of the best-kept secrets of the Midwest! You don’t have to leave the resort to have fun with a playground, mini golf, or basketball (just to name a few) or you can choose to just kick back and relax as you soak up nature at its finest. This resort is complimented on the well-kept grounds and clean facilities, the huge mature oak trees that provide great shade, and the large level campsites.

Mitch did a great job presenting the new membership. He wasn't too pushy and very knowledgeable. Not for us but sounds like it might be fun in the future.
We went for a presentation by Mitch and he was very knowledgeable with plan offers for camping. He took us through the campground, which has alot to offer...with more coming in the future! Joshua added his insights! Enjoyed our visit!!
Josh, Chasady and Mitch were a blast to meet. Visited blackhawk campground to take a tour. Highly recommend coming out to the campground which will be a year round resort with many upgrades planned in the near future. Take a tour see all that is offered you won't be disappointed!!! Can't wait to head back to hang out with our friends we meet today and have some drinks with.
I understand they are under new ownership as other reviews have stated. We arrived late on a Friday when the store was already closed. It was difficult to find our campsite. The sites were really stacked next to one another and they were up late into the night. We wanted to go to bed early as we were in town for a Tough Mudder. The bathrooms and showers were not sanitary. The store was also not open on Saturday and we were unable to purchase firewood. Would not come again.
Go to Joshua! He was very helpful and informative in explaining the membership. He is also very friendly and easy to talk to. We recommend checking out the new Rockford location for your next camping experience. Go say hi to Joshua!!
