We happened to stop at one of the beach areas here while just driving around and "WOW!"...a really beautiful place. MUCH less crowded than the one at Waikiki and offers a different a experience altogether. Tranquility, peacefulness and just calm beauty. It was our last day here for this visit and we were just taking a drive around the island...I wish I would found this while side of the island earlier and spent more time here. I guess this gives us something to come back to do. It's just laid back, and it seems to have fewer tourists (of which I'm one). A great place to go for a "get away from the touristy spots" part of your vacation. If you live here, I'm sure you already know about it...you're so fortunate!
Small nice quiet beach to pull over and explore. Trees to rest under and picnic . Beach to walk onto and enjoy the warm water and views. Bathroom is right beside the road for a rest stop.
This is NOT the black sand beach on the Big Island and for some reason Google has reviews stating this. Instead, this is a quiet beach with calm waters and nice sand on Oahu. Did not see any turtles and it is unlikely that they would stop by here. There's also a public bathroom here.
Awesome. Water was a little rough for swimming (although there were some in water) but the water was beautiful. Paradise. The sand is black and hot (wear shoes). Has a parking lot, restrooms and water to rinse off your feet. Nice stop to see everything. Definitely need to stop if you are visiting.
