Highlight of the Kauai trip! We took a helicopter ride and while the whole island is gorgeous, Nā Pali is just something else and it humbles you to your core.

One of my bucket list dream hikes. Done 🫶 thank God he kept us safe all the way there and back. December is really probably not the best time to do the hike because you won't really get to enjoy the beach due to the big swell. But working with our schedule it just happend to work out that way for us and we did keep an eye on the weather and committed to do it if they kept the trail open and the streams were good to cross always keeping it safe. We really enjoyed the trail. The hike itself is definitely difficult. My husband and I love hiking and hike in the States. But this is the first backpacking hike we have done. This is the hardest one of all lol. You really need to have the energy cardio in you to make it all the way through. I was struggling after mile 8 and I think is 11 miles one way. The trail is a lot of up and down and it really takes the energy out of you. Especially if is hot sunny. There is some shade along the mountain and under the trees in some part of the trail. But you really need to hydrate a lot and take brakes so you don't overheat lol at least that's what worked for me. There is a lot more info that you can get about this hike on Facebook the group is Kalalau trail and the people will help with good feedback and advice about it. Is one for the books for sure. Be safe and enjoy it. We sure did 🫶

This place left me speechless. It's stunningly beautiful. The trails are for experienced hikers only. Make sure to do your homework and plan ahead (permit needed). Also bring enough water and food.

We took a catamaran tour along the Nā Pali Coast and it proved to be a splurge well worth it. While Hawaii tends to be on the pricier side, the experience offered by this coastal journey was nothing short of extraordinary. The views along the rugged cliffs of the Nā Pali Coast were simply breathtaking, showcasing the raw and untouched beauty of Kauai's shoreline. An added bonus to the tour was the close encounters with dolphins and whales, which added a magical dimension to an already enchanting experience. Despite the expense, the memories created against the backdrop of the Nā Pali Coast make it a must-do for anyone seeking a truly awe-inspiring adventure in Kauai.
