We are a family-owned and operated business. Greenwood Acres Family Campground (GWAFC) has over 1100 campsites with approximately 950 of those booked seasonally, by returning campers. We are open for camping April 1-October 31.
We are located on the south end of Goose Lake (400 acres). This is a private, spring-fed lake with no public access.
We are a popular camping spot for thousands of families each season. Our campers say that they keep returning because we have so many things for them and their families to do. It’s TRUE! There are several amenities and activities to keep your whole family entertained throughout stay.
\*In 2022 there was a 2nd Jumping Pillow, an 18-Hole Miniature Golfing Course, and a RC Race Track added to our growing list of amenities.\*
We hope to see you stay with us sometime and we wish you all of the best on your future camping endeavors!

I've been here a few times and this time it was not great. No wood but you can't bring your own in. They changed the visitor lot. We have always rented a camper and had our family meet us there. They would have to park there car in the visitor lot and pay but there car could stay in the park. The guard said that visitor's were being disrespectful so now you still have to pay but they can't stay have to leave by 11 pm or you have to park there cars at Meijer per the guard. So I spent all my time driving to meijer. I don't understand why they punish everyone for the few that have caused problems. Pool was broken again it was last Christmas in July and this year too. Bathrooms 🤮so so nasty. Its never been this way before. The shower backed up and get all my belongs wet outside of the shower. Just sad we have been bringing our family for years and I can't see myself bring them again.
First off this is a massive campground, "largest in Michigan". Most of the sites are seasonal. As you can imagine with like 5000 people on a weekend and these being vacation homes, there are lots of rules and plenty of staff to let you know them. I have no problem with law and order.
Me and my son went this week and were pummeled by that severe storm that left many without power. We took shelter in the bathhouse.
When the storm ended, the staff went site to site checking on campers, they worked all night clearing the roads and running generators for the bathhouse and other buildings.
I've camped in plenty of storms and have never seen campground employees work so hard and check on campers.
This said there is also plenty to to do. We will definitely be back!
A great campground for all! Plenty of activities for everyone. They had a concert one night. They also had a nice craft show. The grounds are kept near and orderly. Our power was 30 amp service. Cart rental was out of carts but understandably you need to reserve ahead of time. Worth it as the campground is quite large.
Best campground in Michigan! We have been seasonal campers for 5 plus years and love this place. We now call it home. There is always a lot of activities for children and adults. Plus a free 9 hole golf course, putt putt golf, a huge recreational center with tons of games, and hand dipped delicious ice cream. They also have bands every Saturday amongst many other activities throughout the weekends. A great place to make family memories ❤️
