We are loving the Green Mountain National Park and the area! Make sure to visit all opportunities to see the mountains from the park and outside. See them from above the treetops and from the towns and river. Visit Mount Equinox, Stratton, the town Manchester and neighboring towns, they are everything we were hoping to find. We have another month in the area and are searching out the many covered bridges and hikes. We are Boondocking in our Class A RV at Winhall Brooke Campground along the West River. Highly recommended!

This place does not disappoint. The thick forest and sparkling rivers are bursting with wildlife and trails. Grab your binoculars for some spectacular bird watching. Go for a easy hike by yourself or with others. You'll love it.

Lake Shaftsbury. Really lovely lake and park. Bathroom facilities were on site and clean with changing rooms. The beach was clean and not too busy. Lots of places to getaway. The only downside was that the path around the lake has a partial closure that I believe is seasonal. We will absolutely be back to this gem!

We stayed here for one our first night camping on our honeymoon. We're from Michigan and we donated our DNR price of what it might have cost us to stay plus a little extra for an actual donation. It's a beautiful place. I hope it can gain a little bit of traffic $15 a night at minimum for the donation.

Great camping spots with some light 4x4 to get there. We stayed at some state spots up north of Rochester and the road definitely requires 4x4 to get up there (depending on wetness a less capable vehicle could make it but just play it safe. Good camp spots, no reservation so first come first serve. Looks like people had been shooting up there before us so don't be surprised. Towns about 20 min away with grocery store and cafe/gas. All in all a good time.
