Warning: NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY! At least at the upper sites (we were in site C). When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted to be escorted to our site. The printed map was unreadable, and we didn't know what to expect (usually hosts show us ahead of time), so we appreciated any assistant. We weren't told anything beforehand, and simply told to follow the golf cart. Before we knew it we were being led up a super steep hill to top sites. Beautiful! Stunning trees, lovely grass. Nice area. But we knew the moment we started going up the hill we wouldn't be getting down unscathed. Our 42 foot fifth wheel hit the road going up it, then severely druuuuug down the hill going down it extremely slowly. We have a drop frame, so it didn't make matters any better. But we could tell regular height long fifth wheels would hit and scrape as well. Severe damage to our rig. If we knew ahead of time, we would have taken a different site, even one with less amenities. I gave it 3 stars because it's a beautiful campground. But we didn't feel particularly welcomed, informed, and are obviously furious about the damage to our rig.

This is the place to go in the fall and you love to see beautiful leaf turnover. Campground has its own trails for walking and leaf peeping. Camp on a beautiful mountain. Picturesque. Quiet. Camp along side a stream in the fall. No haste check in. People are helpful and accommodating. Bathroom has heat as needed ac in summertime. The pool is a great place to hang out in summertime. Activities are fun for everyone. Many place to go from here in VT Never had a bad experience. Rough camp or trailer it’s up to you. W sites

While our group ultimately didn't stay here - I want to leave a positive review for how responsive and accommodating Horseshoe Acres Campground was with handling our difficult request. Our reservation for a large group was canceled late in the reservation season and Horseshoe Acres was prepared to offer space for our group on one of the busiest weekends of the year. Kudos to them and their responsive staff.

A really great place to stay. Everyone is very nice and the staff helpful. Plenty of things to do for kids at the campground and in town for adults.

Great little campground, or should I say huge campground? There were lots of campsites here for RV/ trailers. We were located nearby to the main office, pool, playground, mini golf, and shower area/laundry area (bath house). Despite it's raining on us while setting up our tent we still had a good time. The next morning I look early and went on a walk with my dog up to a bridge 1.4 mi away from the campsite. Very beautiful location. Would stay here again!
