Scouts, church groups and other youth groups will enjoy the Youth Group campground. This Class D facility is equipped with drinking water, picnic tables, cooking grills, toilets and parking. Groups of minors must have adequate supervision, with at least one adult accompanying each 15 minors.
Sites in the Deer Ridge, Turkey Ridge and Youth Group campgrounds do not require advance reservations. Backpackers and horseback riders should, however, make advance arrangements through the park office.
Amazing hidden treasure in southern Illinois! Easy walk on level ground.
It was dry in September but the rock formations still wowed! Locals advised March-April is the best time to see the waterfall. There was a couple of benches when you got closer. And a few people out and about. But quiet and serene! Can't wait to go again next time we visit.
Great place for easy walking trails and an experience for any level of activity for someone
Great campgrounds, great trails, great people! Stayed at Deer Ridge campground inside the park. Well maintained with electric and primitive camping available. Only two hours from St Louis but a world away!
Beautiful park. Not too far from me so it a nice trip to take for hikes. There are plenty of trails at different difficulties for everyone.
