This recreation area is part of Mississippi River - Kaskaskia River
Chase gave us a great tour and timing was such that we were able to watch a two barge tug go from Kaskaskia River level to Mississippi River level. I believe the drop was about 14'.
Camped out. Easy to use payment kiosk. So much fun watching the tug boats and dredging operation. In the morning a very nice person gave us a tour. Thanks nice person!
