My husband & I, with our two furbabies, have lived here in our motorhome since Aug '23. One of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed at & we have a wonderful site. A lot of nice mature trees & shade & campsites are very level with plenty of gravel. The camphost, Steve, is knowledgeable, helpful & nice & does an amazing job of keeping this place looking well maintained & clean! At this time there is a pile of free firewood to pick from. The shower water is a little too hot for me & no way of regulating. I use my motorhome's shower, so no problem for me. My only complaints, tho are if you're here over the winter, they do shut the water off if temps get down to freezing. So far, we've had it shut off twice, once for two days & once for 3. The first time we were given a heads up, second time not. The other issue i have is our power pole has given us problems a number of times. The owner, Lyle has come a couple of times, but issues are still occuring. One other thing is the highway noise is noticable since very close to the highway. When i camp, i like to hear crickets & wildlife, but oh well. Other than that we're happy all year campers!

Great place. Lots are clean and level, include fire ring and nice picnic bench, owner is very friendly and accommodating. Free firewood, and great access to the natural wonders of Illinois. Bork Falls just 5 minutes away is great. 4/5 because of proximity to highway, so it is inevitably noisy, and no Wi-Fi.

I stayed there while working in the area and love that place. Nicest people you ever met run the campground. It's just a few minutes from the little town of Goreville and there is The Goreville Food Market there and it is a super place to buy groceries, clean and friendly.

Great little campground right off the highway!! Stayed for one night… $35 and free firewood. Bath house was spotless and had a slight bleach smell which I liked. Ron was so accommodating and very friendly long term folks!! Would highly recommend
