The entrance is very much not where it says on the map. It tells you to go into other people's property and when I went to get out of my car to check if there might be an entrance, the neighborhood it recommended was super rude. The neighbors just stare at you from their houses and cars instead of being like "oh, entrance is down the road". So please change the entrance address on here. Other than that, after 20 minutes of driving around, we found it and the trail is really pretty. Make sure to bring bug spray and be careful of the huge Boulder size ant piles.

Hal Scott is a very special place. The area is mostly pine flatwoods that are well managed with frequent burns, so out on the trails you can see around you for miles and miles. The white trail has lots of native Florida wildflowers you don't see too often and lots of buzzing pollinators that come with them. You might even see some wildlife among the palmettos, anything from deer to wild boar. Awesome place to hike and lots of options on the connecting trails!

Great trail for an easy hike with our dog. Went very early so we were able to have her off leash and she had the best time! Not a lot of shade so come prepared. Also, no facilities. Will come back with our bikes and combine all 3 trails.

This park is beautiful! The trails are well maintained and well marked. It is open to horseback riding, biking, hiking, fishing and camping. There are some areas of the trails that are low and often filled with water, so if you're hiking, be prepared to either have waterproof boots or try to walk around those spots. Even the shortest loop (white) is 4.3 miles, so make sure you have sunscreen and plenty of water on hand. The red and yellow trails are each 10 miles round trip and a couple miles to reach them, so personally I would be biking or horseback riding on those. Please help keep our parks clean and pack out what you pack in! Enjoy this escape to nature!
