A nice area to view the creek, and a covered bridge that made for good photo opportunities. The waterfall itself could not be seen unless you went down through the trees. Not a hard hike to get to, but watch your step with the roots and slippery rocks.
Devils hopyard was a fun place, but not overly great. The surrounding walking paths and waterfalls are gorgeous. The campsites are very close together, limited bathroom access and no running water, but I guess that’s camping after all! Was a good experience, but would not go back. Definitely more of a day trip park to visit
Always beautiful, well maintained, dog friendly areas ( please keep your dog on a leash and clean up afterwards) there are 2 areas for parking so there is plenty of room.
Great trails for all ages, that can get steep at points and are well marked with diverse features that keep things exciting. The waterfall and river can be enjoyed by wading in the water, however the rocks are slippery so this is probably best enjoyed by teens or adults.
We traveled an hour and a half to get to this state park, and it was not worth the trip. The trails are very difficult to locate and are poorly maintained. The map online does not help you to find the trails. FYI!
However, there were a few highlights. There is a beautiful covered bridge where a wedding was taking place. Also, there was a nice waterfall and a cool tunnel with tons of stalagmites.
Other than that, I would say skip it if you're looking for a nice hike!
