From Wylie, TX, take Highway 78 east to FM 389 (Eubanks). Turn left on Co Rd 389, stay to the right at the fork in the road and continue on. CR 389 will dead-end into East Fork Park.
Nice park and there's a Walmart pretty close to it. It's in Wylie, TX. Northwest of Dallas. Campsites not so close together.
Very pretty view. Our site was in a wonderful location unfortunately the grounds were a little unkept, but we were able to improvise and make everything work. Bring your own grilling rack and maybe your own roll of tp just in case.
Great location. Roads to get here are pretty rough even though paved. Restrooms and showers are clean, although the shower water covers the entire floor as there is no divider on the floor like a lip to keep the water in the shower area. Floor gets slippery. Gates are a real problem if you leave before daylight and try to get back in before 10 a.m., like taking someone for an early flight at DFW or Lovefield. Also, there is no nightlife as your vehicle is locked outside the gate after 10pm. You can walk in only, so get a site near the front gate if you need to go before or after hours of gate. Lots of birds. No fish caught. Site pads okay. Shelters good. Sites clean. No sewage. Blue pipes are for water only. Pretty fall colors in December.
I camped out here for a very long time they had shut it down to repave the roads a while back and they did a very good job it is a very good park for sunsets and swimming and camping with lots of area to explore for y'all bush lovers! the skunks are very polite and never sprayed me and the fishermen are very kind and friendly, they have very good hearts also! bring ant repellant if you're trying to get real comfy the ants are not a painful species but this place is real preserved nature so caution is key the staff is absolutely caring and courteous you'd be surprised out here it is my favorite campground along with Lavonia and the lake Lewisville coe park we had a guy from New York make a stop on his journey to California on an electric bike a very courageous and kind gentleman, he had spent 5 weeks riding before his arrival it was epic!
I went to this park and I was amazed. It was pretty fun there, especially if you are going camping there. There is a fee of $5, but it is definitely worth it. I really recommend going to this park. The rest rooms are clean, and they have water running. Again, very good for camping👍
