Wooded 4 acres near intermittent creek with Fire pit, minutes from Potomac River and C&O Canal, across the street from Block House park with trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding & views of the Potomac River.
Going West on 190-River Road- turn right down the driveway just before the guard rail. Park and pitch tent anywhere before the bridge on the right.
Nice little campground right on the Potomac. Site 5 is probably the best followed by site 6. Site 5 is shaded better and has a little path down to the river. Site 6 doesn't have much shade but it does has a better view of the river right from the fire pit. The picture is from site 6.
Nice spot on C&O Canal. Beginning of the Western Maryland Rail trail.
Nice little camp ground. Great views- scenery. We had the group site which was perfect. Other 9 sites pretty close together. Being the 4th, with all the public down there I wish they had attended to the 2 bathrooms. Group site has it's own portable.
This place is really nice. The bathrooms were clean, it was well maintained. The campground itself was perfect. We had an amazing view and in the evening you can see the stars. The fire pit was nice and worked well. I recommend this place.
