My sister selected this campground based on the positive reviews and photos. While it might be a great spot for RV trailers and cabin stays, I cannot recommend it for tent camping. Our main issue was the train noise throughout the night, due to proximity to a Brunswick MARC train stop. Trains not only passed by but also stopped and departed at all hours of the night. This led to a sleepless night, prompting us to leave a day early.

Additionally, the tent sites at Nottimham wood tent area, though advertised for 10 people, are uncomfortably close to one another. It's the closest setup I've ever seen in all our camping experiences. To give you an idea: you can hear every conversation as if they were in your campsite. They are literally next to each other. As seasoned campers who've visited numerous sites, this was, regrettably, our least favorable experience

On a positive note: The kids enjoyed the park and the close proximity to the river.

Camped here while cycling the C&O Canal. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the tent area was good, fresh water and electricity available too, and not far from town if you need a bite to eat. Only giving 4 stars because the showers barely got warm, and that's the main reason you pay for a campground on the C&O.

Really nice campground!!! We booked the River View RV site in area B. The view was incredible, the site was gravel and easy to level out the travel trailer. It had electric and water, which was shared with the tent site. It was not an issue at all, we had a splitter and even gave them a hose to use.

Nights were quiet in the campground but there are trains very close by running through the night. I personally loved hearing them.

Bathhouse was close, dump station easy going and the store had everything you may have forgotten. Which for us was ice cream!

Campground was clean, the water was beautiful, the birds we saw were amazing, the entire vibe was relaxing.

There were flies though. I had read a recent review of the flies sonI came prepared with some fly catchers. Absolutely needed them and covers for the food. But that’s just a given being near a river really.

5 ⭐️ for sure and we will definitely go back again.

The location is beautiful and the staff are incredibly helpful. The campsite design is poor with the sites incredibly close together. The water and electric are really far from the parking pad. They did offer free use of an extension hose but because up to 3 sites are sharing water we had issues with other campers turning off or unhooking our hose.

First time here. We love this campground. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The view is amazing. The bathhouse is great. Like they post everywhere, if train noise bothers you bring ear plugs or find other arrangements. Yes there are bugs bc you are outside and on the river. And if it rains, guess what the ground will be wet. Don't give this campground a bad review because of your decision. We love the train noises. Before we left made reservations for the very next weekend.
