This is a very nice and well maintained campground, one of the best I've been too. It has an abundance of amenities and those to are well cared for. My only complaint...advise...is be careful to pay attention to the lot you might be assigned to as this campground is nestled between I-495 and I-95 we were put in a spot within view of I-495 and the noise was significant.
Love staying at Cherry Hill when we are in the DC area. Easy for friends to visit and lots to do onsite. The store has such practical and fun things, and even in the off-season, store hours are very convenient. Thanks for another great stay!
We had a large group that booked the Abigail Adams and the Martha Washington cottages. We come the same time every year for a week. This year we noticed some unfortunate changes in the Abigail Adams house. The comfortable leather sofa and chairs were replaced with dorm style couches. This added seating to the living room, but the couches are incredibly uncomfortable, and were not pleasant to sit on. The couches in the basement were also replaced with the same dorm style couches. The other soft cushion couches were so much more comfortable at the end of a long day. We would also like to suggest adding a small lamp in the bedrooms. Also to bring back the lamps that were in the living room. Only having overhead lighting is harsh, and Was less cozy. All in all everything was comfortable and clean as far as the bedrooms. We love staying at Cherry Hill Park. If possible, bring back the other couches.
The campsite itself was great! Very clean and maintained. All the hook ups for the camper were there. We had a grill, fire pit and a table to sit at. We stayed near a kids park that my 2 year old loved. When you arrive tho, expect no direction. Only a map and your barcode to open the gate. No greetings. Just a short...here you go! Good luck on your stay! So you are pretty much on your own from there. Otherwise, it was very nice and I would stay again if in the area.
Wonderful park with friendly staff. Good location to explore DC. Nice that the bus comes daily and there are great amenities like Pickleball. We camped in winter so it was pretty quiet. I can imagine summertime is quite fun at this well-maintained park. Used the dog-walking service, which was great. Well-stocked store. Would definitely stay again! Again, friendly staff! 4-stars for location only due to freeway noise.
