Great campground! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was extremely clean and lots of space in between the campsites. Really enjoyed some much needed relaxing with great views of the bay.
Overall, this is a great campground. Wonderful views, well taken care of, great location. Beach, as others have mentioned, is a joke. Sadly, there are no restrooms/showers. Only 2 point hookups making lack of bath facilities a bigger problem.
The breathtaking views are about the only thing worth camping here. There’s no sewer but the cost of a camp site is like that of a campground with a hookup. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The playground is out dated. One of my children said the swings looked so old that It would break if you used It . There is a lack of activity … like zilch! A cornhole tournament was the only weekend activity and It was A fundraiser not even campground related. The bugs and ticks are ridiculous. The camp fire rings are out dated and useless. It’s a shame we really loved going PRECOVID when they had a band but again lack of activity.
I stayed here 10/14-10/21. The location is fabulous with amazing views of the Chesapeake and Chester. It is one of the finest well maintained parks I have visited. My biggest reason for a five star is the staff. Very welcoming and happy to help. I'd like to give a shout-out to Bobby and Megan. I hope I spelled their names right. Megan is an all-star. She did everything possible to make sure I didn't have to set up camp in the rain. Can't wait to go back.
This campground was so pleasant and clean and beautiful we booked another trip before we left. We’ve decided to have thanksgiving here. The staff called me twice to see how things were and went over and above to make our trip very welcoming. Definitely recommend. Campsites are roomy and very easy to access and very level for setting up!
