Very fun neighborhood park! My friend and I came with the kids and dogs and we had a great time. There is a playground area for kids of all ages. They also have a bathroom, skate park, party pavilions, benches, a lake, basketball court, etc. The only thing I think could make this park better is a dog park. They allow dogs but they have to be leashed and it’s hard to let them play with the leashes on. Other than that, this is a great family-friendly park to come on the weekends.
This is a small park with only 25 campsites. Unfortunately, only a few have working electricity. We stayed in site 2 and it was uneven back to front, quite a bit. The bathhouse was small but VERY clean. Trash cans are at every site which were emptied daily and twice on "trash pick up day!" As others have said, the campground is across the road from the main park, but the signage is excellent (see picture) - you really can't miss it. Since this is an older campground, the paved road (just one loop) is narrow in places and the entry road is really one lane (although there is grass/gravel at points to pull off if you meet an oncoming camper). The dump "hole" is on the way in/out and is just a yellow-covered drain hole to place your sewer hose into. Not what I am used to in campgrounds, but have seen this set up twice now. No wifi, but Verizon was 1-2 bars. Shopping was nearby We camped at Louise F Cosca Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Man it's beautiful out there. I almost forgot I was in Clinton MD.
I wanted to catch the fall leaves and I did just in time.
It's very very pretty out there.
They had ducks and a few people even fishing.
I wonder what it's like in the summer? Can't wait to find out.
I loved it.
Friendly people .
Tennis Courts
Plenty of playgrounds for the kids.
Best of all it was clean.
To think this is minutes from home.
This is a very large park with lots to do. I only go to walk around the lake which is a nice quiet scenic walk. There are always people fishing so there must be something good in the lake to catch. There are a couple different parking lots. One parking lot takes you to the ball fields, another takes you to the skate park and playgrounds and the last one takes you to the nature center. When you park where the playgrounds are the lake is behind the large playground. It’s hard to see at first but if you walk past the playgrounds you will find the lake. The walk from the parking lot has a lot of stairs and/or hills to go down to the lake. Half of the trail around the lake is paved and the other side is not.
