About Campground

Singletary Lake State Park offers group camps available to nonprofit organizations. The camps provide a unique camping experience, creating the perfect setting in which to interpret natural surroundings and to unite in work and play. At least 20 people must be in the group, and the group must also be a part of a verifiable organization.

Camp Loblolly Bay can accommodate up to 48 people and is available year-round, except for Christmas Day.

In June and July, the camp must be rented by the week, with a check-in on Sunday and check-out on Saturday.

The camp is accessible for people with limited mobility or disabilities, and it includes a mess hall, 4 cabins, restrooms, and a bathhouse. All amenities are provided for campers, except for food, cleaning supplies, and bed linens.

A basketball goal, a volleyball net, a horseshoe pit, a group-sized charcoal grill, and picnic tables are located near the cabins. A campfire circle in each camp offers the perfect setting for an evening of fellowship and marshmallow roasting.

The camp was named for loblolly bay, Gordonia lasianthus, a medium-sized evergreen tree that produces white blooms in the summer.
