It is a great campground that is just off HWY 395, blink and you would miss it. The grounds are very nice and the hosts are fantastic.

The only negative is that you are right next to the highway so it is not a quiet or secluded campground. (Otherwise it would receive a 5 star review)

The positives outweigh the negatives though because you will throughly enjoy the river and the scenic views camping here and forget about the highway very quickly.

The proximity to the river is great. A lot of the campgrounds had decent shaded areas. Open fire pits are provided. Potable drinking water is available. The vaulted toilets were really well taken care of. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the traffic on the highway throughout the night. It would illuminate our tent while headlights were flashing through the trees like a strobe light, and it was loud. Occasionally trucks would drive on the rumble strip in the middle of the night. It's not really anything the campgrounds have any control over.
