It is located 23 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station on Highway 108, opposite the Dardanelle Resort. There are a total of 28 camping sites; two double sites and four walk-in sites. The main road and parking pads are paved. Restrooms are vault toilets. Water is piped; each hydrant serves several sites. A fee is charged for extra vehicle parking. Two trails travel from the campground to the Stanislaus River.
23 miles east of Pinecrest on Highway 108 across from Dardanelles Resort.
Beautiful campsite and not too busy on weekdays. Plenty to do in the area, would recommend staying here over other campsites in the area.
This place is so wonderful! Historic and yet modern, the camp sites offer scenic views and most have hook-ups. 4th of July is always a blast with the horse shoe tournament and live music at night. Owners/operators Jim and Loralynn are wonderful people and work hard to provide a great family campground experience.
I've been coming to the campground for about 10 years. But since the fires, the sceneries have been disappointing 😞 but they will return to their glory soon. Unfortunately, the store that was across the street for some many years is closed and not sure if it's coming back, so bring all you need. Still a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing campground.
Been coming here for years! Camp sites 23-24 are the best. Kind of secluded from the rest and amazing views.
