Another beautiful park with the Carson river running next to it. High away in the mountains but right down the road from the best pie shop ever!! Big recommend. Plus campsites are kept clean. And they have area for bolder hopping, fishing and gold panning

1. next to river, but next to highway so very noise when cars are passing through

2. nice small camp ground, but no place to pitch tent (most sites). mine was site #5 which is one of two sites next to river. ideal for small trailer (2 people). not good for big family at all. I stayed for the day and left at night because I couldnt pitch 6 people tent.

3. nice table & bear storage box (fairly new), but NO shower.

4. good and friendly host

We had camp site 1 over for one night while the big boy was in town, the area is beautiful but the dumpster was smelly and was 15 feet away directly from the camp site & attached stray cats which decided to climb over our large family tent left hole on one side from their nails. the whole area is covered in goat heads 😳 which wasn't as bad as the constant buzzing from the street light ballast right near the main highway. Needless to say it was a restless night.

This is a wonderful well maintained campground with pristine facilities! I am sending good wishes to the hosts during these devistating fire conditions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there during late June before the tamarack fire and wish safety and protection for the hosts and future visitors.

Well maintained campground. The camp host's, Cheryl & Bill go above & beyond to help their campers'. Two (separate) times our battery went dead in our 2500hd duramax; Both times they gave us A jump. They are very down to earth, still have hope that there's humanity in the world people! But Caution to the wind!, when they say it's bear country they Mean It's Bear country!! Yogi stuck his nose inside the opening where you could feed an electrical cord into my daughter's tent, & attempted to open the door of our truck. So Always lock your doors!! We shouted, made loud noises & he casually walked off.
