Helpful people working. Plenty of space to take a break. Parking is tight. Quick and easy to get a backcountry permit.

Great place to start hike into the beautiful Mokolumne Wilderness! Nice gift shop with helpful, friendly staff. Big parking lot (although it fills up fast during peak season).

The best times I’ve ever spent hiking are here all season long. This is the best summer hiking spot ever. I’ve been hiking here for years, and I’ve never found a more rewarding place to return to every weekend until it gets too cold.

If you’re quiet, you’ll see the little marmots in the rocky parts of the mountain after Frog Lake and before Winnemucca.

Hikers beware thunderstorms and lightning strikes in the summer, it’s always best to hike prepared.

What a great place to hike/Camp. If you are there for a day hike or camping, lots of options. Make sure you get the appropriate permits and pay for parking.

We hiked south along the Pacific Crest Trail to Frog and Winnemucca Lakes. It's a short 2.5 mile hike. The wildflowers were gorgeous!!!
