Snow Park is a State park and does require a permit but you can camp up to 3 days here and they have toilets available.
All around great hike. Came out here during July and there was still snow on the ground. Great scenery and views. I'd say this hike is moderate.
Snow shoeing on a nice warm day. Hiked 5 miles in the sun. Plenty of others skiing and hiking. Lots of up and up, you need to be in shape for this!
It’s a beautiful area. Plenty of snow to see. The hiking is great. Not too many people so you have privacy while enjoying nature.
In winter, it is very suitable for kids to play sledding (but not open enough, pay attention to the trees, rocks and creeks) and build snowmen. We played here twice during this Christmas vacation, and my kid loved it. It's free parking here, sometimes crowded.
