Go approximately 4 miles to “T” intersection at Sharon Heights Baptist Church. At the “T” intersection turn right onto Brookside-Bevins Road Drive ½ mile to old town Brookside to 4-Way Stop Go through 4-Way Stop—the road becomes Price Street Drive one block on Price Street and turn left at stop sign onto Cardiff Street. Follow Cardiff Street making a 90 degree right turn until you reach Five Mile Creek at the Ball Park Bridge.
This place could be a great place but the mayor Roger got a grant for 375,000.00$ and he puts that money in his pocket not this park. Grass is always over run swimming hole is dangerous and the water ways are full of tires, metal, glass and the water stinks. I wish people would stand up and fight for our park and town crooked cops and mayor and also the roads are so messed up around here so b safe.
It's tucked in a country residential area like a secret place for a quiet stroll along Five Mile Creek. There was quite a bit of litter by the water, though. The sweet little cemetery needs some TLC too. The place is otherwise just lovely.
Very nice place to picnic or camp. No on site store but a dollar general is about 2 miles away. Quiet and peaceful except when the train comes through every hour or two. Fortunately only one in the night time. Big fields for dogs to run and a creek. Canoe shop on site and a small play ground for children.
Always love some brookside they have gotten a bad rep for the police issues. But I have been coming here 3 times a week for a year and every officer that comes by are all about community. The ball park is under renovations but for practice it's a great place to go.
Beautiful lace to walk, the natural landscape at the creek is very relaxing and beautiful.
