Mountain Lakes Resort is located on the eastern shore of 68,000 acre Guntersville Lake in the beautiful rolling hills of northeastern Alabama. Situated with a beautiful western view across the lake you will enjoy the sun rising over the hills behind you…and setting across the water in front of you! All of our camping and RV sites at this resort are pull-thru’s and provide ample room for you to get comfortably situated with your RV. There are several fishing piers and boat docks for those who enjoy fishing on one of the country’s premiere bass lakes…and both an indoor and an outdoor pool for those who just want to relax. A beautiful two-story clubhouse, a great kids rec room and horseshoe pits and volleyball courts will keep you busy having fun. Whatever your perfect vacation is, Mountain Lakes can help you get there.
Great RV and Cabin resort. We ended up here right before trick or treating weekend and it was great, so many things to do for kids and adults. The location is amazing, our RV site was right next to the lake, what a beautiful view to wake up to. The people here are amazing, we were supposed to get here at 7pm didn't end up getting here till midnight, they were amazing and came to check the next day if everything was good and the spot they have us in the middle of the night was ok. My kids (12 & 17) love that they have a game room, indoor and outdoor pool, mini golf, basketball, volleyball and I'm probably missing things.
Resorts internet constantly out of service. It tends to go down on weekends (Usually Sundays) and takes forever to come back online.
Resorts entry gate code changes frequently. One may not know the code has changed until you attempt to enter the resort. By the time you realize your code does not work there will be other visitors behind you waiting to enter the park. Then you have to figure out how to get past this situation. Do you have to ask the motor homes / camper rigs to back up?, so you can park and go inside to get the revised code number…? I have seen where some in line behind me will not back up, and I have to walk inside and wait to get the new code.
Suggestion:
Place a note at the keypad to inform RV traffic of the date when the code was last changed.

The appearance of the cafe building is deceiving. The inside has a great cafe appearance and is very clean, but the outside looks like a commercial building such as is found in an industrial park.
Suggestion:
Add some outside architecture to make the cafe look as such. Spruce it up to have a similar appearance as the front office / store. Nothing expensive, just an eye catcher.
Absolutely no space in between sites had to hear a little dog yap for hrs and can actually hear them talking in there trailer it's so close. They want 19k for a member ship witch is unreal they presure you at the end even when you say not at this time then they act like you are know one and walk away then they say heres a 100 gift card that will be sent to your email for the sit down with them that I have never received so a lie right off the get not very impressed any local camp ground offers everything they got plus more room In between lots. We had such a great time taking our RV to Mountain Lakes! The view is breathtaking, the property is full of activities yet perfect for relaxing as well. The staff really set them apart and made our stay even better. Thank you to Jack, Karla, Mariah and Tabitha! We can't wait to come back!
The staff here were amazing. This was one of the worst weeks in Northern Alabama and they handled it amazingly. Pipes frozen and were popping like balloons and maintenance were very busy replacing them all. They kept up with it all. Office personnel were very friendly and professional as well as maintenance. Just commend each and everyone of them. I will absolutely be back here but maybe when it's a little warmer.
