Absolutely love this park! It has an abundance of wildlife that can be seen at all hours. The park is kept clean as well as the facilities. The grounds are kept well groomed and all the staff who helped us were pleasant and very helpful.
Alabama is so fortunate to have beautiful state parks and Lake Guntersville state park is no exceptions. The staff is professional and efficient. The resort rooms with the view overlooking Lake Guntersville are clean, and comfortable.
We drove around to check the options. It's a beautiful lake with lots of access to the water. The campground is large and has full hookup and electric sites. Beautiful views all the way around.
One of the most beautiful state parks in Alabama for sure. We wish we discovered it years ago, but, better late then never. We stayed at the Lodge with an amazing view of the lake, hiked around the lake, watched the sunset in Guntersville, rested at the boat ramp picnic area and had amazing dinner and breakfast at the City Harbour 20 minutes away. Highly recommend.
It's been 43 years since I've been here. This was the most beautiful place to stay. Loved being here in the off-season.
The room was huge, overlook breathtaking, beds comfy, and staff was wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond!
