Nice big site and very reasonable, inside Ft
Rucker don't let the helicopters bother you! Brought back memories for me. Great helpful staff. Take the Enterprise entrance as google takes you to places you can't enter base from.
We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Very spacious sites, some really private, we didn’t get a chance to fish but heard there are plenty of fish in the lake.
Only reason this park doesn't get 5 stars is because there are no full hookups. This place is a gem. Spacious spots, well maintained green spaces and enforcement of park rules makes this place clean, relaxing and quiet.
Stayed here Jan 2020
This park is away from the main post, so it is generally quieter overall with less traffic than I expected. Helicopters do fly directly overhead, so keep that in mind.
Check-in without reservations was quick and easy. Kayce recommended a site for my trailer and her suggestion was great. Additionally, I received a text notification during extreme weather with instructions on where to shelter if the base warning sounded. No other park I've stayed in has done that. Great job to the staff for looking out for patrons.
As others have stated, the hook-ups here are water and power only, no sewer or cable. My site was level and consisted of a concrete pad with asphalt drive, picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. My nearest neighbor was approximately 40 feet away, so I was definitely not cramped for space.
Overall I had a great stay with one notable exception: Barking dogs. That may not bother some, but I found it difficult to tune it out when it was otherwise quiet and peaceful. I found it annoying to get barked at while sitting outside while owners walked them and did nothing to keep them quiet. There seemed to be some truly inconsiderate pet owners who are there long-term.
Really nice place. The yurt was a fun stay. Can be really hot in there if the weather is hot but our stay it cooled off quicky with the door and windows open. They provide the linen and a lantern. It is closer to the lake so has a good view of the water and perfect for watching the sun rise. Wish the primitive camp sites were a little bit more spaced out. Like that they have picnic tables at every site and the yurt and primitive sites have a fire pit/ grill at each of them as well. Reservation and pick up of the key was easy. The parking for the car wish was a little bit more clearly marked. Facilities were very clean and stocked.
