The closest privately owned RV Park to the Talladega Superspeedway (TSS), only 200 yards from the stands. Grandstand RV Park is under new ownership, and we are now OPEN YEAR-ROUND.
We are a very clean and quiet campground only 3 miles off the highway. Owners are on site to assist 24/7 so come in at any hour and you will have help! VERY large (45'x75') pull through sites. You won't even need to unhook while you are staying. Full hook up sites available. We have a convenient store on the property and sell beer, ice, firewood, snacks and other camping essentials. **Pets are welcome!** There is a shower house on site with very large and clean individual shower rooms and a laundry facility. We have a double dog park, horseshoes, basketball court and a kids play area at the front of the campground. Firepits are available upon request.
Stop by and check us out. Many upgrades and amenities coming very soon!!!
For race week dates please call Grandstand RV Park, 205-505-2374. Prices are increased for those weeks only.
Wonderful. Right next door to Talladega speedway and 5 min from the dirt track. Wonderful people run this place. Lots are level and well maintained. Bathhouse is super spacious and clean. Brand new pool. Great dog party area. Our family enjoyed it very much.
This is my 5th time staying at this park. Stayed during race weeks and outside of race weeks, and it is always very well maintained, clean bathrooms and great customer service. The owners are so friendly and helpful no matter the time of year. My family and I will always choose Grandstand RV Park for my race week stay, our weekend get aways and over night stops passing through. 5 stars all the way!
Found this outstanding site traveling through the State, and enjoyed it so much, that we stayed overnight again on the way home! We had a great pull-through gravel lot with extra large green space next to us. We didn’t use many of the amenities, as this was just an overnight stop, but they offer a lot. I did use the Dog Park on the first night. I love that there was a Picnic Table at the spot, always handy to have an extra space to set items. Very nice playground area for kids, even a Basketball Hoop. I also noticed many Doggie Bag Stations and Garbage Cans conveniently located throughout the entire property.
Not sure if there was wi-fi, but we were able to provide our own hot spot and have a strong signal for evening TV viewing.
Very cool hearing Cars racing on the track, right next door on our second night there.
This is a RV Park I would definitely recommend as you can tell the owners take great care & pride in it. And, they are very friendly too!
We stayed here outside of race week, so we cannot speak to what it is like during a race. Without a race, the park next door was empty. We mostly had the place to ourselves outside of a handful of weekend campers that came halfway through our 2 week stay. Super tranquil, wonderful nature sounds, and we even saw some deer coming through the back of camp. There is a dog park, playground, pool, bath house, office, and store. Plenty of amenities. There is also a giant field in the back that we took our dogs to run and play in since the park had so few people during our stay - they loved it.
Water pressure measured at 105 PSI, so we opted for our pressure regular. Power was solid the entire time. Sites are gravel and very well maintained, however they are not level. We had to move spots b/c of excessive slope warnings, and at one point, one of our rear slides popped out of it's top track due to our tweaked our frame was trying to level. All of the sites tend to slope from the rear driver towards the front passenger, and we noticed that everyone's front passenger levelers were the most extended/strained. The "rear" road of the premium pull throughs is noticeably higher than the "front" road which contributes to the bulk of the issues. ALL of the landscaping is impeccably maintained and very pretty to look at during our stay. This park does charge pet rent, and I really couldn't tell what you get for it. The provided poop bags were so thin that they would split just from picking up one pile of poop, meaning you now have poop on your hands. We used our own, but noticed they did run out during our stay and were never refilled. The park is also directly under a cell tower, so we had the BEST internet at ANY park we've ever stayed at. We mostly used our T-mobile, but ATT and Verizon were strong as well.
The owners here are on site, and super friendly and accommodating. No issues, and we felt like part of the family during our entire stay. The whole park was decorated for Halloween with inflatables, motion activated statues, and tons of amazing skeletons hanging from signs and other fun goodies to make the experience fun and memorable. You really can see the grand stands from the park, but not in a "camping in the parking lot" kind of way. More in a "wow look how close we are!" way, while still enjoying trees, grass, and nature. The track offers a tour that is well worth the low cost and short amount of time considering it is right next door. Our tour guide even lives in the park!
