Love it here! Generally quiet and well-maontaoned. Never had a utility problem and find it to be an enjoyable location. Grandchildren like the beach and fishing pier, neighbors are pretty easy-going. There are a couple of dozen units occupied full-time with the rest busy on weekends. The community celebrates the holidays and you are free to participate as much/little as you wish.
Awesome! Stayed in the Red Yurt via AirBNB. Clean and well maintained. Had a few BIG spiders, but it's the mountains in Talladega, AL. Everything in the yurt was on par with staying at a full suite hotel room for less than 1/2 the price. WiFi. Flat screen TV. Full kitchen and breakfast bar w/ stools. Full range, full fridge. A climb up Loft with queen bed, rolling futon, twin bunk beds. Dome skylight to get the sunlight or look at stars. Beautiful lake view and a small beach (watch out for geese droppings). Boat landing, docks and piers. Mountain is steep for FWD Dodge Journey, but we made it. Friendly people! Go during daylight may be a little hard to find at night. I would go definitely stay again!
We had the best experience at Clear Creek. The management is great to work with. We have met the best group of friends. There is lots of activities for adults and children. The lots are level and your fur babies are welcome. We were able to put up pet fences for our babies. All in all the BEST place we stayed at for long term rental. Also it has a sandy beach.
Family oriented events and relaxed 55 and older communities enjoy this scenic resort. Where lake and "mountain" sites with plenty of power, great water pressure and full hook ups make glamping the new norm. We love it here long term. Update: Not much change, they are adding concrete pads to the mountain sites and more concrete roads instead of gravel. It's still very peaceful, quiet and serene. Food trucks come a couple times a month, arranged by the office manager. That's fun and filling. School is back in so the beach has more spots to relax. Nice time of year to camp, in the fall, campfires, late nights chatting, grilling and awning lights as the summer heat gives way to cooler evenings. My favorite!
Update: Still enjoying the lake, the sunsets are amazing! Quiet, peaceful morning and night. We have met some wonderful, helpful folks here and the sense of community is strong. Low light pollution for a good look at the stars too. To the North of the park is Logan Martin lake, in a valley that drops away from the park and afgords incredible views. Highly recommended!
