This is a very pretty trail with nice vistas at the pulpit. It is a bit steep packing in just over 1,000 ft ascent in about 2 miles.
One of my favorite hiking trail. Parking lot is somehow limited. The trail is moderate hike with beautiful waterfall in beginning of the trail. Some roots and stones and narrow path. After rain part of it muddy. Overall well worth the effort and the view.
Lots of upward climb till you get to Williams Pulpit as the turnaround spot (2.3 miles there, 2.3 of mostly declining on the way back.) Definitely a moderate trail. Lota of little water falls in beginning for dogs to drink.
We hiked the first mile of the trail then turned back. It does become steep at the top according to other hikers we met. It’s a beautifully wooded trail with a very nice water fall early on.
