About Campground

Welcome to Deer Springs, the Best RV Park in the Smoky Mountains. We offer unique RV Sites with a touch of outdoor luxury not found at other RV parks.

It is important to note that we cater to a mature demographic, **and all visitors must be 12 years or older**.

Deer Springs is a privately owned and gated RV park located in the Smoky Mountains, 13 miles West of Franklin, NC. We are a pet friendly RV park with a focus on providing large sites in a comfortable and unique setting. Our park has been designed for “self contained RV’s”, and as such, there is no separate bath house on site.

- Sites 1-8 have a private gazebo equipped with prep counter, sink with running water, refrigerator with ice maker, and ceiling fan with light

- 30/50 Amp Service

- Sewer hookups

- At least 1 picnic table

- At least one fire ring per site

- High speed Internet ([Premium Internet is an additional charge]())

- Access to our Bark Park

- Use of our 3-Pines Pavilion

Quiet settings, Appalachian Trail hiking, and lots of Nature are the extreme amenities at our park.

Directions

Directions – Detailed version: From intersection of Georgia Rd & Hwy 64, take 64W 11.8 miles to West Old Murphy Rd. At exactly 6 miles, the 4-lane road you are on will turn into a 2 lane, and the road that intersects is also West Old Murphy Road. Do not turn left here, to do so will take you up a very winding road that you do NOT want to be on. Continue on the now-2-lane road until you come to West Old Murphy Rd. Sign will say “Wallace Gap.” Take a left and go ¼ mile to 8301 West Old Murphy Road. You will see the Deer Springs RV Park sign on the left. Turn left on the gravel road just before the Deer Springs RV Park sign.

Note: You will lose cell phone coverage at 9.6 miles, which is called the scenic overlook. Any calls you need to make must be made before (or at) the scenic overlook.

The owners of this wonderful campsite - Jim and Trish are great. Currently there are 8 campsites, each with all the necessary hookups and a pavilion with a sink, countertop and full size fridge. A few pavilions are entirely closed in with a gate for fur babies. The sites are a good size. There is a doggy park, a good road into the park area, gravel that is smooth. The area of Franklin is incredible. There are surrounding towns with much to do. It is quiet. There is a beautiful area that has a small pond and sitting area for those moments when you simply want to ponder the beauty. We met friends there upon their recommendations because they have been several times. I promise, you will not be disappointed with this gem!!!!

This quiet little Rv park nestled in the beautiful mountains of Franklin is the perfect getaway!!! Everything was spot on; from the well appointed sites, attentive camp host as well as the park owners, the well landscaped grounds…. the list could go on. We will absolutely come back here to camp!!!

What a great place to camp in the mountains. The owners Jim & Trish take a lot of pride in their campground and it shows. They make you feel at home and they want you to enjoy your stay with them. When you pull in their campground host David is there to greet you and help you with getting in your site and answer any questions you may have. We stayed a week with them and plan on returning.

Truly the most amazing RV park!! The place is amazing with the great sites. It is truly a unique experience not many campsites have! The owners are the sweetest people and they loved meeting our pups which made me so happy! The host was also very kind and responsive! The campground was also very clean and just so beautiful. We had a great time just sitting around. My only *complaint* is that it is not open year round. I was really hoping to spend some time in December here but will be booking at least once in the new year!
