About Campground

The whole, large group will enjoy easy/quick access to the Smoky Mtn Ntl Park and downtown Bryson from Farm Bear Lodge. Our cabin is on 40+ acres that backs up to the Smoky Mtn Ntl Park near the "Road to Nowhere Entrance" of the park. There is a large creek below that can be heard from the decks/firepit areas of the lodge. There is a trail down to a mountain stream and the creek if you wish to spend some time there. Our driveway is an easy paved access all year for cars and motorcycles. You'll enjoy ample space in this recently renovated, farmhouse lodge styled setting many entertainment options, a wonderful view and a peaceful setting.

Farm Bear Lodge is spacious with the main floor having an open living/dining area along with the master bed bath and an additional bed/bath. Downstairs is a large, living/game area and 3 beds/2baths. One bedroom below is connected to the bunk rooms as a family area. There is one step up to the foundation of the main floor and then it is flat throughout. Both floors have decks or balconies to enjoy the view and creek sounds. The hot tub is on the bottom floor. Being in the rural mountains, this lodge has satellite wifi internet (good for most things but not streaming), satellite Dish network tv and DVD players for media entertainment in addition to our pool table, shuffleboard, hot tub, etc.

We collectively call our family's property Three Little Bears Retreat, and we have a few other cabins on the property that may be available for an even larger group if you all want to stay nearby. Our other cabins on the property are 3 Little Bears Retreat, Sky Bear Lodge, and Air Bear Glamping (an Airstream). Find or follow us at 3bearsbryson.

Pictures do not do justice. Scenery is amazing. Chairs on porches overlook beautiful landscape. Breakfast was amazing and out of the ordinary. John and Marsha go above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable.

Such a wonderful place! I kind of found it by accident, while just looking around on Google. I asked a friend if they knew anything about it. They said they did not, but if we stayed there they would like to know what we thought. So I booked it, largely in order to give a report.

WELL!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is. John and Marsha obviously take exceptional pride in making your stay with them comfortable and relaxing. It is impeccably clean and inviting. Most of the rooms have jetted tubs. We actually by choice chose the smallest of the rooms, the "Lost Creek" room, and it is wonderful! And I think a perfect and cozy size. It is on the upper floor in the back, and you almost feel like you're in a tree house.

We had a chance to peek at the other rooms too. Each one is unique, and equally expertly decorated. Not a single one would I have been disappointed to stay in.

Lazy Bear Lodge is close to all the things Boone/Grandfather Mountain/Banner Elk area have to offer. So makes a good place to base from. We were here on our Can-Am, and the second day it was raining all day, which made it a good day, to stay put. Lazy Bear Lodge was true to its name, and was a great place to just sit, stay in, do nothing, and relax.

Fantastic stay. The online photos do not do this beautiful B and B justice. Food was terrific and hosts were wonderful and accommodating. Location was perfect. Would 100% return.

Choosing this Lodge was the best desicion we could make!

We loved it! And I'm sure we will be back!

Amazing place, super clean and neat, close to several locations, good breakfast, lots of games available, and I loved all the small details that were taken care of: disposable cups on the day of checkout to bring your hot tea with you, courtesy lights in the bedroom and bathroom, complimentary drinks and snacks 24/7, makeup towels in the bathroom, umbrellas available for everybody and so on!

100% recommended!

Thanks John and Marsha!

This was my and my husband's second visit to this outstanding little lodge. Our first visit was back in 2021when my now husband and I decided to stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge to try and reconnect after almost a year separation. Lazy Bear was everything we could have hoped for. The lodge and the area worked it's magic on us and our relationship and a year and 10months later we were married. So, needless to say, we couldn't wait until the day that we could return to relive such a beautiful time in our lives.

But, this time we wanted to bring my daughter with us so she could experience the wonder and magic of the area where she grew up and lived the first few years of her life. My husband and I did not want to stay at just any old hotel during our visit...we were determined to stay at Lazy Bear again so I called and spoke with Marsha and she and her husband John were kind enough to agree to accommodate a 3rd person in our spacious room by bringing in a large air mattress for my daughter.

This beautiful B&B never disappoints. Marsha greeted us with open arms the moment that we walked through the front door and continued to be extremely accommodating throughout our stay. From the gorgeous property (where we took an amazing hike that Sunday), to the delicious, freshly prepared breakfast every morning, and the fabulous conversations with Marsha and John that made us feel as if we were family, we could not be happier with every second of our stay at Lazy Bear. This little lodge is, without a doubt, a hidden jewel tucked away into the Blue Ridge Mountains. We cannot wait until we are able to make our third visit...we are counting the days. Do yourself a favor and book a stay with this magical place. I promise, you will not be sorry...it is just what your heart, mind, and soul needs. ♡♡
