About Campground

A truly magical camping experience for nature enthusiasts, cyclists, hikers, and horse lovers! Miller Farm is a 187-acre horse farm that sits directly under Hickory Nut Mountain, which is a nature preserve. Located 6 miles out in the country from I-40 in Old Fort, we are minutes from the new Fonta Flora multi-use trail system that covers 90 acres and 19 miles, 20 minutes from Black Mountain, and 33 minutes from the Biltmore Estate. Camp beside a cool mountain stream. Enjoy roasting marshmallows or cooking your supper on the fire pit. At dark, watch fireflies dance in any of the meadows on the farm. Come meet Brock, a 19-hand “gentle giant” draft Percheron; Dixie, a bossy paint pony; Deacon and Tonto, quarter horses; and sweetheart Spirit, a Bethlehem donkey. Explore miles of hiking trails and ride your bike on the farm road. For avid cyclists and mountain bikers, there are many trails in the area. Enjoy a meal and craft brews at Hillman’s Beer restaurant in Old Fort. Or, do nothing but relax by the gentle mountain stream.

Nothing against the produce; however, might I suggest that if you choose to go here, don't use the tablet to TRY to pay with a card!!! When you get a receipt WITHOUT swiping your card, cancel the transaction (because it obviously didn't work) and end up paying with cash...a sheriff's deputy shows up at your house to accuse you of fraud with ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE OF WRONGDOING!!! Might I also suggest to the owners, Check your records next time BEFORE you call the police, file a report, waste a deputy's time, waste gas for the vehicle to come to my house, waste valuable tax dollars that I pay, upset me, upset my daughter, upset my husband, and then have the audacity, after the deputy visit to my home, to tell the deputy it was all a misunderstanding and that your records match 'my story'. It is not a story when it's the truth! The deputy wasn't gone from my house 5 minutes when he called me back with this information so apparently it didn't take long for the owners to 'check their records' and realize they were wrong with their accusations.

Don't worry, there will never be another 'misunderstanding' because I won't be back. That's the last $40 you will ever get from me.
