My experience here was average at best. I think that the room that we rented out was very spacious and it included all the necessary components to a cabin like cutlery, microwave, oven, and fridge. However, I had a couple of issues. One - the bed covers that were provided were not clean at all. They had stains and didn't smell very good. Two - I think that the sign that says "Children playing: Please drive at 10 MPH" needs to go next to the entrance of the Campgrounds. I also think that 10 MPH is a little too fast for a driveway like that. I'd suggest 5 MPH but I don't own the place so I'll leave it up to the owner. Other than that, the location is great. It's near the lake so you can literally walk to it. I also appreciated the new keypad locks that were provided. They will send you the passcode via email in order for you to unlock the room you rented out for.

It all depends on your site. Sites 220-224 where we were to originally go with our camper van were a joke. I would not consider those campsites, more a parking space with everyone on top of each other. Sites 210-215 were kind of cute with their own deck and I might consider returning if I had one of those. After looking at the site we were supposed to go, 221, we asked to be moved and luckily one of the large RV sites in the 100 loop was open. But that was just a big open space and we were right up against the road which was very noisy and hot. Not sure about the other sites. The bathrooms were OK, place could use some maintenance as our picnic table was un-useable with warped boards and it was overdue for a mowing. You will take your life in your own hands crossing the road to get to the Lake area. The saving grace was the check in lady who was very helpful and friendly.

Very loud traffic noise. This is supposed to be camping I had a fire and some camper complaining of the smoke we'll get a motel room don't complain. School uses drive to drop off kids some one left his loud diesel idling w loud exhaust and speeding through camp. No relaxing or enjoyment here. I won't be back. Lady in office was great! To get to lake have to cross 5 lane road w no cross walk.

Great campground location for visiting Waynesville NC and surrounding areas. Hosts were as nice as it gets. Clean, full hookups. Grass sites. Level. Some shade. Family oriented. Next to busy highway!

Small, clean campground close to everything, great location. The only draw back is the road noise, so run your AC or fan and the road noise won't be as bad.

Price is very reasonable for this area. But the BEST part of staying here for 3 days was Ben and Sandy. They go out of their way to help you, to make you comfortable and help with your needs. We will absolutely stay here again!!

Bonus: This is a Christian CG.
