I wish we could give this Campground 10 Stars. To start off, we are new campers who haven't camped in at least 30 years. We decided to take our first camping trip with our new rig to this KOA campground, and we must say from the start of our stay just checking in, we were made to feel comfortable. The staff is second to none and are so friendly and accommodating. That definitely made the two newbies that we are feel comfortable. It Knocked the nervousness (from feeling like newbies) right from the start. This is a very nice campground to say the least. They have everything that any camper would need. The whole campground is very clean and very well kept. We had an absolute wonderful experience, and we can't wait to visit again. So much so, we already made reservations for next weekend. We could easily see this place becoming our home away from home. Thank you Wapakoneta KOA Holiday.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin for 4 nights, it was comfortable. The camp is clean and safe and even though it was near the end of the season there was a lot for us to do both at the camp and in the surrounding area. Such as - The Neil Armstrong Museum, Heritage Park (river walk, and our 6 month old Bernedoodle enjoyed a nice romp at the dog, the historical downtown) there are several parks around town with playgrounds as well. The campground also has a dog park both for big and small dogs. A playground and arcade for the big and little kids. ha ha We enjoyed our little get-away to the KOA at Wapakoneta. It was nice, relaxing and a fun way to spend our 34th wedding anniversary with just the 2 of us and our puppy. :) Kevin and Karen were so accommodating and helpful! Karen even mailed an item we left behind. Thank You! * sharing a picture of Bernie our puppy because this was "Bernie's Road Trip" and because he so adorable :)

Beware if you rent a cabin at this site.

The property manager/owner, Ryan Moran has complete control over your units HVAC system with their mobile phones. Refused to set it lower than 73 degrees and when another cabin said theirs was unlocked, they locked theirs at 73 degrees too. In June, the cabins were not like this and the HVAC system was not locked.

We have stayed here multiple times, once being in June. We have a lot of children who stay with us, and during this trip, one child went to buy candy. They refused to give him change and accused him of stealing candy during our June visit, we are all unaware of this happening, and expressed our feelings of this action not being addressed to us in June, and instead in October? How did they even remember? And why did they not charge the account on file?

After attempting to address some concerns with the campground via review emails we received text messages to our personal phones informing us to never come back. The owner of the property (Ryan Moran) threatened our family's safety after we made a phone call to them, I will not get into details, but it was unsettling to say the least. He also claimed he should've set the thermostat to 40 degrees and frozen our family.

We love to have our family reunions here, but we will no longer be visiting this site as they have threatened our family for expressing concerns about our treatment.

Management was rude. The thermal dials were broke and it was really cold in the cabins that we payed a decent amount for to be warm.. Whoever runs the gift shop was rude to the kids when trying to purchase candy. When we brought the problems to their attention they just told us to find a new place to stay, and I didn’t like how they handled the situation, they made it clear that all they care about is the dollar and not satisfying their customers.. We look forward to having just having a good time with family and unfortunately they ruined that time. Our family looks forward to taking our services else where
