About Campground

Wakeda Campground is a friendly family campground, nestled in the pines only 8 miles from Hampton Beach. A mile off the road, surrounded by woods, Wakeda is a world all its own. Wakeda first “opened its woods” to campers in 1965 and is owned and operated by three generations of the Savage family. Located just 20 minutes from Historic Portsmouth, the Kittery Outlets and beautiful Newburyport, MA, as well as just an hour north of Boston, we’re the perfect vacation home base! Come enjoy all the wonderful beaches, dining, shopping, outdoor and family-friendly attractions the Seacoast and surrounding region has to offer, or simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of life beneath Wakeda’s towering pines!

Directions

From the North on Route 95: Exit 2 to Route 101 West to Exit 12 (Route 111). Turn left at bottom of ramp and right at the end of the road onto Route 27(W). Go approximately 1 mile and take a left onto Route 88(E). Wakeda is almost 2 miles on the right. From the South on Route 95: Take Exit 1 (Kingston/Seabrook). Bear right off exit ramp and turn left at traffic light onto Route1(N). Go 1.5 miles and take a left onto Route 88. Wakeda is almost 4 miles on the left.

One of the nicest parks we have visited. A lot of effort goes into the grounds and the bathrooms are immaculate. The check in people were so nice. I’ll come back.

Drove from Niagara Falls, Canada on route to New Brunswick and was looking for a place to stay a night for a family of 3 and a dog.

We found this gem of a campground, rented a cabin that slept four and it was pet friendly.

The customer service at the front gate was awesome and very friendly as well as the lady working at the general store in the park when we went to buy some firewood. Washrooms were clean, cabin was clean, entire park was exceptionally clean and organized.

It's location is great too, very short drive to the Ocean and close to lots of great seafood restaurants. This will be our go to spot from now on.

This was our first stay here. We were very happy. GREAT ATTITUDE with all employees that we encountered. Place is CLEAN. Best selection of ice cream on site that we have experienced. No pool, but no problem. Plenty to keep busy. Grandchildren had fun.Hampton Beach is 15 minutes. We will be back next time we are in the area.
