Our night here was one of the highlights of our Cohos thru-hike. Mary is a gem and Kathleen was super friendly and accommodating. The site and bathhouse were perfect for what we needed and you can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the needs of hikers passing through. We also got a lovely sunset on the pond. Highly recommend to others hiking the trail.

Stayed at Rudy's on our thru-hike of the Cohos trail. Would highly recommend as was one of the highlights of our hike. Exceptionally friendly, clean and modern bathhouse with laundry, eating area and a place to clean your stuff. Camped on the waterfront which was a lovely and flat place to tent.

Mary, who stays at the camp ground was the sweetest person I have ever met. Greeted us with some wonderful trail magic

Be sure to read the bulletin board in the bathhouse as it will give you the history of Rudy, his family and his life. That one thing really moved me.

Can't say enough but it would be a huge mistake to bypass staying at Rudy's if you are on the Cohos trail.

The 'First and Last' is where we hang our hats- this is the name of one of their cabins that are available for rent.

This is an absolutely pristine cozy cabin on edge of Rudy's pound which faces westerly across the pond. Kathleen and John are the best hosts ever- We have been visiting them over the past ten years- If you are looking for a quiet, pristine, isolated huge slice of heaven- then this is the place for you. Have fun.

Thru-hiking the Cohos Trail southbound and stayed at rudys campgrounds. One of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She picked us up on a dirt road because she knew we would have had to walk up a Long Hill. She was very very hospitable. Offer to get a quarters to take a shower that night (830pm) which would have been an additional drive for her. She showed us the bathhouse and made sure we were at the campsite super close to it. After hiking 21 miles that meant a lot to us. Next day she offered to drive us back to the trail. Talk about hospitality. If you hike, drive atvs, snowmobiles, or you want to leaf peep I would recommend Rudys Campground!
