Was looking for a good trail run. First section was really nice, short bit through a stream. REALLY good climb once the trail split, almost a bit too rocky for running though. Still managed to get a good run in, would be really nice for a hike.
Camped here on two occasions. Spectacular view looking east over the valley with Front Royal to the left/north. Nice spot. I put my boots outside of my tent overnight only to find my laces chewed off and missing. Pack rats in the rocks. I love paracord!
I've suggested an edit to the tagged location of the photo. It was taken about 2.33 miles to the ENE along the ridgeline.
Beautiful hike with some steep inclines. The view is worth the climb.
An incredible nice trail that's not too steep, within the forest and after almost four miles a breathtaking view from multiple overlooks. Happy to avoid the crowds and yet had to balance the mud and creek overlays with the trail. I'll be back.
