Our first time here but won't be the last. The view of the river was amazing and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I have already recommended the campground to other friends.

We have been twice! Getting ready to arrive for our 3rd trip & can't wait. Super chill riverside campground, very nice bathrooms, great staff, and bus transportation to float on the river.

Cozy and simple. Riverbank tent sites fully shaded; elevated, side by side but spacious full hook up RV sites allow riverbank views without visual obstruction by the tent campers. Open air, private outdoor showers are so refreshing. Friendly folks, close to Walton's Mountain and Museum.

Such a gem of a campground. Small campground with only a few sites. The tent sites were huge, right on the James river. Bathrooms were very clean with the exception of grass clippings all over the floor. That was to be expected with fresh cut grass, then it rained. Even the outdoor showers and porta John's were nice. Employees and hosts super friendly and very helpful. Train passes by across the river in Scottsville so you will hear it and the whistle but I like trains so it was fine with me.

This is the perfect hidden gem !

Beautiful, spacious RV sites next to the James River. Plenty of room for both RVs and tents. The distance to Charlottesville was an easy drive and a better choice than the KOA. The owner was friendly and instantly felt like we were visiting family.
