Less than a mile off of I-95, situated just south of historic Petersburg, our family-owned campground is the perfect setting for you to explore the beautiful state of Virginia. Serene and relaxing, the wilderness stretches far from the main roads so you can let go of the hustle of the city - without ever losing its convenience. Whether you make this your home away from home or just stop for the night, you'll find our campsites spacious, convenient, and clean. We look forward to welcoming you to our piece of paradise.
From jct I-95 (exit 41) & Hwy 35: Go 1/2 mi E on Hwy 35S.
Conveniently located, nice, clean, large and level sites. Reasonably priced and helpful staff. We got in after hours but our reservation details and map had been left in a goodie bag (with pen, pad and fridge magnet) Highly recommend, we will definitely use again
They are very friendly there and convenient to the highway. Good pricing and accommodating when I wanted to move over one site instead of staying in our assigned one that was very close to our neighbors.
Sandy and Mike were the best I really enjoyed the place nice and quiet open field next to the park. Have propane on site as well as a dump station and water for your windshield and whatnot. My only concern was the water but Sandy told me that it was tested twice a year it just has a lot of iron in it and I suppose that's how it is in the area in general. I ran it through and filtered it twice before I drank it and it was fine. I would caution that your clothes may become red if you wash. All in all it was a great stay I wish I could have stayed longer I will definitely have to go back there on the way down. I can't say enough about the customer service and the friendliness. They are dog friendly even though they do not have a dog park, as long as you use common sense and have your dog under control. There is a restaurant at the entryway that serves lunch and breakfast that I know of I think it's name is Kathy's but I didn't stop there I will check it out next time.
Awesome campground directly off I95. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful!
There is a great breakfast restaurant at the entrance and an RV friendly gas station nearby.
This is now our go to stop on trips south.
This place is awesome and the people that work here are super nice. The location is quiet and it's convenient because it's right off the main road but yet tranquil. There's an area in the back to run your dogs if you want and there's firewood for sale as well as a regular shop to get items you may need. In the front there is a restaurant called Kathy's I believe. I did not get an opportunity to eat there as I was in a hurry to get to my destination however I do plan to eat there when I stop back by on the way through. This place is definitely one to check out if you need a quiet spot to just chill. There is a fire ring and a picnic table at each spot
