My entire family had not been on vacation together since before COVID. It turned out to be a great experience for all of us.
I rented a cabin in the woods near the lake. (C33). It was perfect for our little group, since we had day visitors.
The facilities were exceptional. The pools were great. The water slides were a blast.
On our way home, my nephew said the best thing about the resort was the staff. I had to agree.
We had so much fun we came back a week later for a day trip!
Great Family Campground! There is plenty to do for the whole family Swimming, water slides, 5 acre Lake for fishing and paddle boating, mini golf( new mini golf course coming 2024 season) 3 miles of walking trails and a snack bar that has wings, pizza, Nachos, hotdogs and Hand dipped Hershey ice cream🍦. Friendly staff and owners. Themed weekends. Great Campground! I have enjoyed coming here for 7 years and will continue to make this my Happy Place!
This is a beautiful facility in Hillsville, VA. We stayed here on our trek across the country and specifically chose it because of their Halloween celebration pictures. What we found was a large facility with a combination of residents, there is a private area, as well as a campground, on a very large, beautiful facility in the hills of Virginia. This facility is extremely community oriented and well attended by the local community. They have events campers are invited to that celebrate the local schools and other organizations. During our specific stay the had a Halloween oriented carnival to benefit the local school. They also had karaoke at night and a campground bonfire. One might think the festivities would be discouraging because of the sound, but the music and all events (if you do not wish to attend) are kept away from the main camping area so sound was not an issue.
The facility is kept extremely clean including all grounds and restrooms and is full of trees and nature. Staff are constantly driving around ensuring everything is picked up and asking if there are any issues or needs by campers.
Amenities include paddle boats, miniature golf, up to date arcade, basket ball and more. During the summer season they have a great pool and amazing looking water slides.
This facility is a bit off the main highway, but is well worth the drive. We were very impressed with the service and friendliness of staff as well as the amenities and beauty of this park at a great price point. We would definitely stay here again if we are back to Virginia.
Definitely a great family location. Such kind and attentive staff & on-site owners! They truly care for their guests and thrive to give you a good experience with your stay. We just visited (our 2nd trip) and got to enjoy fall weather and beautiful fall scenery & decor. Oh and you have to check out the craft room! We made Tye-Dye shirts, so FUN for the whole family!
Great campground with lots of friendly people, its like one big family. There are lots of new activities planned for kids as well as adults happening on weekends. New upgrades going on by new owners who you can actually meet. Friendly and really care and want things to look nice as well inviting and fun. Just come, stay a couple of nights and you will notice the changes and FUN that's happening. We love it here its our 2nd home!!
