I was really hoping Daddy Rabbits had made some improvements since our last trip. If I could I would give it a 3.5 stars. The bathrooms were dirty…mostly the floors. The communal shelter looked sad and creepy. Leaves were piled up everywhere. I was thinking it would be a great spot to film a horror movie. ;) My friend stayed in a “deluxe” cabin which was pretty cute. One of the highlights was the campsite we chose was nice and secluded. I recommend getting one on the top of the hill. It was much better than at the bottom just a little further from the bathrooms though. The WiFi was pretty bad where we stayed. I think it’s better over by the bathrooms but I didn’t feel like responding to my emails over there. I don’t want to work while on vacation but sometimes duty calls but not while I’m sitting on the toilet. :) Daddy rabbits is a little rough around the edges and could use some TLC. For the price it seemed a little high for what you get. We’ll probably look for something else next time.

We had the most unusual experience coming here. We were late to arrive, the owner gave a very rough direction over the phone of how to find our site, no insite that it wasnt an easy one to get into, let alone at night, which we warned him we would be late. He came out to help, and told my husband to pull out onto the very uneven and wet field to turn around so he could get into position to back into the site that the entrance was between 2 trees. Our truck and camper got stuck in a slope/ditch of the field because of this. He then offered to run us a 20amp extension cord to our camper, saying we could just stay in our very tilted and stuck camper for the night. Which was very upsetting as we have 2 kids, there was no way to open slides to even get in and use the camper in its position, and it was like 40 degrees. He then offered us to stay in one of the cabins, saying he wouldn't charge us any extra, like it was a favor when we wouldnt have been in the predicament had he not said to pull out there when it was pretty clear in the daylight, it was not meant for campers to be out there. He did say we didnt have a set check out time so we could get ourselves in order.

The cabin was small, dated, the walls and ceilings warping and pulling away, taped, and only had a radiator for heat which didnt work well enough, luckily we had our own space heater. The beds hard to sleep on. He doesnt allow cooking in there, but provides a microwave, tv, and an old school coffee pot.

Theres no phone signal there, the wifi kicks you off over and over. I was lucky to get a call into our insurance on wifi calling for the wrecker to pull us out, it took several tries.

The campground overall was run down, the road desperately needed to be leveled/graded. It was miserable to pull our rig on. The pavilion looked run down, we didnt even check the bathhouse, but the laundry units sit outside, old and exposed.

The owner was nice, but we were just overall disappointed and frustrated. Sure its the "middle of nowhere" but that doesnt mean it has to be run like that.

The worst campground I have ever been to. Creepy! Not a good vibe for kids at all. There was this creepy shirtless Santa looking guy stalking my kids. The place is run down and not maintained at all. the camping spaces are very small, most of them are sloped, and they're all right up against each other. There's a bunch of weird guys just living there full-time. I don't know what they do because they're not doing anything to keep up the place. The creepy Santa guy is one of the people that live there full-time. there were other men walking around staring at my campsite day in and day out like they were scoping us out. There were no other campers around my site but my dogs would start barking at night like somebody was creeping in close to our tents. I'm so glad I had my kids and my tent and some pepper spray and metal baseball bats and an ax for protection. The signs that number the campsites are these really creepy bunny carve outs that look like they're from the fifties and haven't been painted or updated at all since. The bathrooms, laundry area and pavilion were disgusting (covered in bugs, mud, debris) and I worked hard all day to clean them up only to find a sign on the laundry saying $5 a load the next day. The wood exterior to the bathroom is rotting and there's holes in it allowing all types of creatures to get in. the showers were disgusting, I cleaned one of them myself just so that we could shower. There was spider webs, spiders, all types of bugs, leaves, mud, mold. We paid for 2 weeks but left after 5 days because it was so horrible. Everything is falling apart there and it seems like whoever owns it just doesn't care about it at all.

We loved this campground. It's in the middle of nowhere with tons of mature trees and very shady campsites. Very quiet, very cool. Very much a place to get away from it all.

The campsites are a mixed bag. Some level, some not so much. There are only a few sites big and level enough for our 34' 5th wheel, so check ahead. 30 amp only as far as I saw. We didn't check out the bathrooms or cabins.

Cell service (Verizon) is almost non-existent but they've got fiber WiFi which works well enough for streaming and computing and WiFi calling. The owner and help are super-friendly and seem committed to updating and improving the park.

We will definitely come back.

We had a great experience camping over Labor Day weekend. Our campsite was large enough to accommodate and the campground is close to many places to visit. Highly recommend the Floyd country store, chateau morrisette, and dogtown roadhouse!
